We’re kinda in bonus track territory now. I like this one better than some of the others, but it kept getting bumped in the sequence until I almost forgot about it.
lyrics
Leave, leave a little left. Think about the outcome. Think how many tries that we get. Lean, lean into the wind. Treat it like it’s holding you close, there ain’t no other shoulder to lend. I don’t know how many times that you said I best get ready to prepare for the shock. I don’t know why I couldn’t pull it together, not like I never even gave it a shot. Cuz I thought I did. Why, why are you so convinced, it was nothing but a long haul, nothing but a drag in your midst. Cry, cry for 1,000,000 years. It don’t make up for nothing. It won’t shake off the wanting. Hold, hold it in your sight. Get a little down time. Get a bit of cold air to rise. Sleep, you can sleep for days. Glide along the contours. Crash along with the waves. Dream, dream about the gifts. Spraying like a fountain. Drifting off away in the mist. The tide’s coming in it’s getting over my head and it’s time to get out of the water. Just one more ride and I’ll be with you then, I was the last thing you wanted to mother, but I needed it. Who, who would ever dare? Let em come and pry from your grip all the lonely silence you cherish. Fall, fall amongst the trash. Glittering like firewood. Floating in the air with the ash.

No words to describe this. I believe if you like Spirit of the Beehive, you will like this band. Other highlights are Plants, And Again and Pretty Sure. So much good music out there. JerPz

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
