about

Hey- Is anybody actually reading these blurbs? Remember a couple songs ago where I mentioned trying to write a song using autocorrect prompts as each word? Sounds fun. In honor of Orpheus, the musician, and Eurydice, his muse, let’s try going down this rabbit hole into the nether regions and see what happens. I’m gonna try by starting with first two letters of my name. New song, here it goes. By me, Kevin and the phone... a one two three four... Keys are on my way back into the house now so I’ll probably have some time to go pick it off but if you wanna do it all you need to get done with your stuff. ( ok I had to make an artistic choice and end that line or apparently this goes on forever. Let’s try the chorus and see how weird we can make it. Start with a random word this time— malleable... ready here we go) Malleable is a good night for ya to be right there in front of me some more than you can tell. (Wow this phone guy is really good. Maybe this is how the pros do it.

lyrics

Hey- I heard a rumor that we're not really here. We're all locked in a dream, and none of it's real. Like there's no other way to explain all the horror you feel. I hope it isn't too late for us to awake. My body's corroding and turning to slime. I ain't out of it yet, but I'm falling behind. So don't you wait for me to incubate. Don't you slow down. Even though I'm calling to you. Don't you even look back. I'll just turn into a puddle of goo. I will never forget every minute we spent, but as our timelines untangle, I can see now they were never the same. I will never regret, when our universe met. But it's ruining mine, watching yours unwind slowly, curling away. Spooling off into space. You didn't need to come all the way down here, into the Underworld. With all the nights and the days you still got left. But won't you sing me a song, before you return to the sun. Give me one final kiss before I never get to see you again. I hope it's not too late, for our respective planes to collide. I can jump into yours, or you can jump back into mine. Hope it isn't too late. Or did we just cut to the chase?
