This one makes me a little uncomfortable. Open to gross misinterpretation. I guess when your song veers back and forth with no audible transitional clues from the viewpoint of violent racist cops pumped up to commit murder like it’s a Budweiser commercial, and an actual human being you’re gonna run into that problem.
lyrics
Yeah you're a hot mess aren't you? Are you looking at me? Have you got nowhere else to go? I got me a feeling. Don't need to give you no reason. Sometimes you just gotta roll with the choke hold. I'll be around when the show is over. I don't know about you. You cannot tell me you're not up to something cuz I don't even care what you do. Gotta be a better way for you to beat the bad man. That old school tussle is always so hard on your hands. Aw! Put on your vest. Sit on his chest until he's wheezing. It's just another day's hustle. when you're "playing" with the "band." Inna gadda vida da loca honey. That's all you got to know. All that you need is the air that you breath, gonna need it more than ever before. Always the same old story- He said he wasn't sorry but you can't just shoot him in the back. Why you gotta fire all of your guns at once and take him to jail in a bag? There is no way you can delay what you're receiving. Don't move a muscle. How much longer can you last? Get on the floor.Get in the car- I think you're scheming. Don't say nothing or you'll wind up living in the past. Yeah you're coming down fast, but don't let it break you. cuz the Devil herself could never repay you. Oh she's leaving a mark. Yes she is. Oh yes she is. You got peanut butter on my chocolate!!!!

No words to describe this. I believe if you like Spirit of the Beehive, you will like this band. Other highlights are Plants, And Again and Pretty Sure. So much good music out there. JerPz

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
