It's definitely my friend Dave Sinclair calling around the 3:11 mark. We've always wanted to do some music together. It was great to finally work with him. It's important that we let our friends know we like em. I was working on this tune on what was already one of the worst nights of my life, and THEN Ruth Bader Ginsburg died. You know the rest. But point is, Dave ruining my vocal track with his stupid phone call was really a good thing.
lyrics
We're all having a hard time. We're all feeling afraid. We all want this to end, but we're not quite ready to face it yet. Calling off the evacuation. There's no escape anyway. Don't quote me on this cuz I'm sure that I'm wrong, so I ain't gonna say it again- We'll be fine. It's alright. Although it sure don't look like that is the case. Still alive. At least it's something. We'll survive. Or at least something will in any event. If I could laugh in my own face, I'd be ROTFLMAO. I think that's something the kids say, when they know it's really starting to blow. So won't you spare me just a minute to spend, believing there might still be a twist. You don't have to tell me you don't wanna hear it again, but maybe this time it will stick- It's OK. Don't you cry. Even though everybody who loves you gonna die. We don't want you to mourn us, until the day it's your turn. We remind you to be joyous, cuz there ain't no other concern. Or we can spit in our own food. And smear shit all over the place. But we gotta come up with something or choke on our towels in disgrace. It's a goddamn shame we're still fighting over who invented being insane. Might be the last thing we both share in common. How bout we try to give each other a break? We all know that there's tragedy coming. Gonna hurt more than ever before. I wouldn't mind a little company, since we're both gonna be walking that road. Ain't nothing smaller in the world than good intentions. So I don't see there's any reason to stop. Grab whatever you can before it's melted, and try to keep a little bit in your thoughts. Cuz that's all we got. That's all you got.

No words to describe this. I believe if you like Spirit of the Beehive, you will like this band. Other highlights are Plants, And Again and Pretty Sure. So much good music out there. JerPz

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
