I apologize for this one in advance. I really like the psychedelic era Temptations vibe, but the sentiment seems really wrong. Feels like the worst kind of dirty laundry. Like you might as well throw those away cuz ain’t nobody coming near you as long as you’re wearing them. Got a good beat. You can dance to it!
lyrics
There's a place we're all going. No escaping, so why you gotta act like a fool? No no no! Cuz it's tragic. Yeah! Muddy water is a flowing. Driving and churning til there ain't anything left. So you better get a pump. Or another way to make you jump. And while you're giving it a test use whatever you need from my bag of tricks baby, to make it get wet. Yeah yeah yeah! I'm gonna kill all your future lovers. Even if I can't get em dead, they'll never rate. So you better warn em, I drove you crazy. They're gonna regret that you can't forget what I did for you. Never in a million years. You can't make that shit up. There's no telling. There's no answer. So why you gotta walk around like there is? Hope they're jealous. No satisfaction. No doubt there's plenty willing to give it their best. You can bargain. You can beggar. But you'll never come as much for all that's coming for you. No no no! So you better get in shape. Cuz there ain't nobody else who is gonna make you shake, the way I can make you yell.
No words to describe this. I believe if you like Spirit of the Beehive, you will like this band. Other highlights are Plants, And Again and Pretty Sure. So much good music out there. JerPz

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
